Possible adult concepts. Mun and Muse are both over 18.
An associate of Noah Bennet and an operative of the mysterious Company, headstrong and persuasive Eden McCain, née Sarah Ellis. With big brown eyes and brown hair, at 5'3" she's on the short side. For all her stubbornness, her rough past and her tendency to fall back on a dry quip, she's a sweet girl, good at heart, with an ill-concealed maternal streak, frequently turned full strength toward the socially inept and the outcast. She's done some bad things in her time -- there's no judgment here.
AU obviously. Eden was revived by use of blood from a regen being held on Level 5.

Starting slightly at the contact, he smiled with his mouth in acknowledgement, eyes still filled with depression at the turn of events his family had been involved in. “Thank you. I mean it, Eden,” he added because he knew how few times he had given her positive encouragement and how many of those times it had been to aid the Company’s (and admittedly his) manipulations of her even more.
He leaned his head to the side slightly and shook it as he thought. What to divulge was a question he had on his mind at least once a day. Such was the life of one that worked in the field of morally gray. “The Company is going through a bit of a - a re-organization. After Bob Bishop’s death,” he paused. Did Eden know of that? “After his death, positions have been shuffled. Angela Petrelli’s absence has left some… commands… in question. This job is full of sharks.”
Eden tilted her head, a small smile still remaining on her face. “You’re welcome, Noah.” She could tell he meant it and more than that, what it meant for him to be saying it.
She wasn’t aware of anything that had been happening at the Company. She took a moment to go over what he’d just told her. Bob’s death was a bit of a shock, but she wouldn’t pretend to feel any sorrow over it. And Angela being absent was a bit odd, but she figured she had probably asked Noah more than her share of questions for now. “That does sound very disrupted. The Company was always full of sharks… maybe this new situation will be beneficial.”

Noah’s head jerked in a shaking motion, eyes snapping open. “No, just abilities. He only took her ability,” he confirmed with a slice of vehemence in his tone. Sandra hadn’t wanted to push it any farther than a ‘yes or no’ confirmation, but he had, pushing for as many details as possible to be absolutely sure his Claire-bear wasn’t lying to protect herself. She’d cried. His shoulders slumped slightly at the memory.
He knew Eden’s full focus was on him, though, so he met her brown eyes completely again. “I am asking you to shadow Claire when I cannot watch her.” He hurriedly added, leaning back to sit straight, “You’ve done it before but I know it’s still a heavy thing to ask. Things at the Company are… disrupted, right now.”
Eden sat up straighter as she watched him. It was hard to see him talk about Claire like this. The way his shoulders slumped made him seem just dejected enough that she finally gave up trying to remain cool and reached out to place a hand on his arm. “Yes, You know I can and I will. It’s not too much for you to ask.”
She smiled at him softly, and took a deep breath, curiosity getting the best of her. “What exactly do you mean by disrupted?”

He took a deep breath. He hated to say it out loud. “She was attacked,” he said flatly, anger at the mere thought and incident flaring in the form of a twitch at the corner of his eye. “You saw Nathan Petrelli was shot, I assume? He attacked the house then. Got her… when she was alone.” Noah closed his eyes for a brief moment. Claire would still hardly tell either of them the full extent of the attack, but he knew even before she told him. Her skull was cut open. Unlike the rest, she stayed awake. That last part he hadn’t suspected. It left a hole in his stomach.
“She’s alive but unfortunately so is Sylar. I don’t trust that he’ll stay away,” he said without real need. Eden knew he didn’t trust that - they both saw Sylar at his worst and Eden more than either knew what he was capable of.
Eden looked back at him with wide eyes. It was the one thing that he had been afraid of. The one thing that he had gotten emotional about the entire time she had worked with him. “Oh my god, Noah… I’m sorry. Yes, I heard about Nathan.” She nodded; the story about Nathan had been all over the news and she couldn’t help but recognize the name, obviously. She could tell that Claire’s attack was really difficult for Noah to talk about and a part of her wanted to reach out to him but she hesitated, unsure of how he would react to that. To her.
“No, I wouldn’t think that he’d stay away… though I suppose he got what he wanted?” Her stomach turned even as she said it but she wanted to cover all the possibilities here. “He’s usually only after abilities…” But what if he wasn’t? And who could say what went through the mind of a monster like Sylar? At this point, she really wouldn’t put anything past him. In any case, Noah knew how to get her undivided attention. “How can I help?”

He took a hesitant breath, delaying his response. The answer to that question was complicated. Not like it was ever any different. He was technically here to close a Company file, but the Company didn’t know about it. “I was hoping to call in a favor,” Noah admitted. At her next words, his small smile dropped, and he added, “I’m not expecting you to. I’m not offering help, either. You can take care of yourself; I know that.” He frowned to a small degree at her behavior. Self-comforting. It wasn’t a surprise to see, though.
He leaned forward, clasping his hands together as his elbows rested on his knees. Noah hesitated, unsure where to continue. It had been so many months, it was hard for him to read her again. “This favor is obviously off-book where the Company’s concerned. It’s about Claire.”
She slowly lowered her knees back down, feet touching the floor as she considered him. She had to admit that she was intrigued by Noah calling in a favor. And not at all surprised that it should be something involving Claire again. Eden’s eyes met his, unable to hide her curiosity, “What’s happening with Claire?”
